HOLLAND PARK WALK

We all know the benefits of walking on our health, but let’s face it, sometimes it’s hard to have the motivation to get out there.

That’s why we are grateful for our first Walk Leader Yvonne who curated a lovely walk around Holland Park on 10th October 2023, to help get our members out walking. Yvonne was joined by Bea, Maureen, and Cathy, who were all impressed with how the day panned out and are now raring to go on our next organised walk.

Whilst Yvonne’s original plans where scuppered by the closing of the Japanese Gardens (for the cleansing of the pond), she more than made up for it with her local knowledge and showcasing the most fascinating parts in and around the park, including Robbie William’s house.

Thank you once again Yvonne, we look forward to your next planned walk!

A Call For Walk Leaders:
We are working on reviving our regular Tuesday member-led walks by finding and training Walk Leaders who will work with us to curate fun and interesting walks in Camden, around London and potentially beyond. If you are interested in volunteering as a Walk Leader (however often as you would like) please send an email to goldenyears@spca.org.uk or send a WhatsApp message to 07596 461 366.
