Our exciting nursery started in September 2017 and is very much a community project aimed at local families. We have spaces for 20 children aged 2 and 3 and the small numbers add to the family feel of the venue. Most of the places are available free to local children, so call us for details.
For those that have to pay it’s £8 per hour, which is still less than most commercial nurseries. We operate in school terms only and for 15 hours a week, 9:30 to 2:30 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We work closely with the Stay and Play scheme at St Pancras, which can help parents with their little ones at times when the nursery isn’t open. The Stay and Play Scheme has lots of childminders who you can meet and sound out if you need a bit more childcare than the hours available from the nursery.
Stay and Play Scheme
The friendly Stay and Play scheme is primarily for children under five but parents, grandparents, childminders, aunts and uncles also come along. The idea is that they play with their children and all generations learn new tricks from each other and from the professional childcare staff. This means the children get to have even more fun and to learn even from their play while the adults learn to become better parents and get their children playing better.
Stay and Play sessions for pre-school children of all ages operate on Mondays from 9:15 to 10:45 and from 11am to 12:30 and on Fridays from 10am-12pm. As a special treat for those with babies under one, we have a special session, exclusively for your and your little ones. It’s on Mondays, 1:45 to 3:45.
We’re open all year including school holidays.
